Mandawa is a small town located in the heart of the Shekhawati region, in the state of Rajasthan, well known for its beautiful forts and havelis. Often referred to as the “open art gallery” of Rajasthan, it has fascinating mansions decorated with frescoes depicting life in its varied forms on the walls, arches and ceilings. You can walk through the narrow street of the town to see the paintings and also visit few cenotaphs of the former royal families in Mandawa.

Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Jaipur - Mandawa (168 km - 3 hrs drive)

In the morning our driver will pick you up from your Hotel, Airport or any desired location in Jaipur and drive to Mandawa. In the heart of the Shekhawati region of Rajasthan lies the beautiful small town Mandawa, known throughout the state for its forts and havelis.

Such is the appeal of the havelis that this region is dubbed as "Open Art Gallery" of Rajasthan. The havelis are noted for their fresco depicting mythological themes and that of huge animals. (Shekhawati Region: Mandawa, Dundlod, Nawalgarh, Ratangarh are the parts of Shekhawati region, approximately 15 to 35 Kms.

After lunch we take a half-day sightseeing tour of Mandawa, we will take you for a walking sightseeing tour of Mandawa town visit havelis.

Day 02: Mandawa - Jaipur

Post breakfast, drive to Jaipur en-route visit to Nawalgarh, a small town almost at the very centre of the Shekhawati region. There are a few prominent havelis like Anandilal Poddar Haveli, Aath Haveli, Hodh Raj Patodia Haveli etc.

A huge fort with colorful bazaar and numerous havelis with elaborate architecture makes it an interesting destination for stay. The history of Nawalgarh has seen the origins of numerous Marwari business families.

After visit Mandawa and Nawangarh, drive back to Jaipur. Upo reaching driver will drop you at Hotel / Airport in Jaipur.
